Background
The School of Biomedical Sciences offers a range of single honours degree programmes. It has the outstanding distinction that all of these programmes were awarded a maximum score of 24/24 in the most recent national Quality Assurance Audit (QAA). The School of Biomedical Sciences ranked 1/62 in the National Student Survey of 2009 with a satisfaction of 98%. Our biomedical programmes are ranked 5th out of 79 in the Times Good University Guide 2010
The School of Biomedical Sciences has a partnership with Newcastle Biomedicine Research Institutes to deliver high quality undergraduate degree programmes. Research in Newcastle Biomedicine is of international standard, and was 7th in the UK for medical research (RAE2008: all 'medical' units of assessment combined).
