Accessing research excellence
Commercially funded research is supported by our Joint Research Office, bringing together university and NHS staff to provide a single point of contact to initiate and manage projects.

Commercial partnerships
We have a long record of creating successful spin-out companies and are always keen to examine licensing and partnership.
Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
Our CPD activities range from classes with a handful of participants to much larger sessions for over 100; and from a few hours up to several days, as well as courses at Masters level that run for a year or more, full and part-time. Both accredited and unaccredited CPD are available.
Using university scientific and clinical facilities
We have a range of excellent facilities which are available for use by commercial partners:
- Scientific facilities, such as microscopy and imaging, proteomics and bio-informatics
- Clinical research facilities, including specialist MR, PET and GMP facilities
Using university meeting rooms and conference facilities
We are open to local, regional and international business and can provide good quality meeting and conference space.
