About the Clinical Academic Office
The Clinical Academic Office, under the direction of the Dean of Translational Research (Professor David Jones) and the Dean of Clinical Medicine (Professor Julia Newton), is responsible for :
- professional engagement with NHS partners across the Region
- development and delivery of the infrastructure for Translational Medicine (including clinical research platforms and facilities)
- development and support of the clinical academic workforce including training and contractual areas
- championing clinical scholarship and the role of academics in clinical leadership
