The Faculty of Medical Sciences is governed, within the structures of Newcastle University, by Faculty Executive Board, comprising Heads/Directors of all Schools and Institutes.
Faculty Executive Board meets fortnightly and reports to University Executive Board. A Faculty Steering Group, comprising of Deans and senior support staff, meets weekly and reports to Faculty Executive Board.
Day-to-day leadership is provided by the Faculty Pro-Vice-Chancellor, who works with a team of four Deans (responsible for Clinical Medicine, Research & Innovation, Postgraduate Studies and Undergraduate Studies).
