Introduction

The Dean of Undergraduate Studies, as the Chair of the Faculty's Teaching, Learning and Student Experience Committee (FTLSEC), has the primary role of devising and driving the implementation of the Faculty's Teaching, Learning and Student Experience Strategy, in consultation with the PVC, Dean of Postgraduate Studies and Heads of Schools/Directors of Studies for undergraduate programmes. As chair of FTLSEC the Dean is critical to the management of quality assurance, and is responsible  for  the approval of all new programmes and changes to existing programes in the Faculty.  The Dean also advises and guides Heads of Schools/Directors of Studies on matters relating to quality assurance and enhancement of existing programmes.
