Newcastle Biomedicine relies on a key partnership between the University and the NHS.
The Newcastle Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is a provider of excellence in teaching and healthcare, as acknowledged by the Sunday Times/Dr Foster “Hospital of the Year” title in 2004. The Trust was recently recognised as a Biomedical Research Centre for Ageing by the Department of Health, one of only two such Centres outside the London conurbation.
Our lead in the diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric problems including dementias rests on the clinical excellence of the Northumberland, Tyne & Wear Healthcare NHS Trust.
