Epidemiology MRes

Overview

The programme will enhance the existing learning of intercalating and graduate students interested in pursuing careers in clinical or non-clinical epidemiological research. Students will acquire fundamental knowledge of epidemiological methods through taught components and experience of research through the research project. Subject-specific teaching provides theoretical and practical understanding of the value, theoretical basis and practicalities of epidemiology and approaches to epidemiological research and covers the basic epidemiology of cancer, children’s health and adult onset diseases, with an emphasis on practical application.

Research Project

The largest single component of the degree programme is a 100 credit compulsory research project (MMB8099).
