The programme provides students wishing to undertake advanced study in microbiology with a taught elements focusing on how model organisms representative of the diversity of the bacterial sub-kingdom are helping to elucidate central biological questions, such as the control and regulation of cell division and of gene expression. Taught components will be complemented by a related research project.
