This programme is designed to assist in the continuing professional development of health professionals by specialist postgraduate education in the field of therapeutics. Specifically, the programme develops the knowledge and skills, as applied to primary care, of therapeutics, rational prescribing, research methods relevant to therapeutics and information sharing and presentation skills.

Programme Aims

  • To develop the knowledge and skills of health professionals in therapeutics as applied to primary and secondary care
  • To develop the knowledge, skills and approaches necessary for the implementation and management of rational prescribing
  • To offer a structured introduction to research methods relevant to therapeutics
  • To develop approaches to information sharing and presentation skills for use in the health care setting
