Research Specialties
The disease-based themes will be linked together by five mechanisms that will address the major processes underlying age-related disease and its treatment:
- growing old and frail (ageing and frailty)
- organ damage and repair (fibrosis and repair)
- energy failure (mitochondrial dysfunction)
- the genetic code (genomics, including genetics and epigenetics)
- treating the older person (therapeutics in old age)
