Applications with the following documentation should to be submitted via the University’s electronic vacancy system: 

  1. A letter of application
  2. An up to date CV with publications list
  3. Your plan to win an external Fellowship, including the topic, a brief project plan and how it will fit with the research of the host Institute. Also include outline of how this will be developed into a future independent programme of research (2 pages). 
  4. Details of intended external fellowship schemes to be applied for, with timescales
  5. A letter of support from Newcastle University fellowship sponsor indicating that they support the application and that office and lab space will be made available. For internal applicants, this should also indicate that the current supervisor is aware and supports the application.
