Support and information for Research Staff
The Research Staff Support website is aimed at research staff whose employment is dependant on short-term research funding. The site gives an overview of the support and resources that are available at Newcastle University to help researchers excel in their research, and to facilitate their personal and professional growth. This includes opportunities for training, development and networking, issues around funding, and advice on how to actively manage their career.

The Faculty of Medical Sciences provides a framework for the career management of research staff called the Career Pathways Scheme. The scheme aims to help researchers identify and achieve success along a chosen career pathway and is based heavily upon regular Performance and Development Review (PDR).
