The module, Cancer Pathology (ONC8002), comprises of 15 topics covering pathology of all major organs, delivered over 15 weeks. Each week between 1 and 4 interactive Data Sheets are studied, and between 1 and 4 interactive Case Studies are presented. The module delivery method is by images and activities. The whole module is conducted online (including assessments) and on almost every screen there are images of organs affected by disease, which we hope you will find interesting and instructive. The activities are construction of a Portfolio of Learning, for which you print out documents to complete each week, and interaction with the presentations in an exploratory way. All assessment is by illustrated MCQs. A Formative Assessment is available each week (which does not count towards the final grade). The final mark is determined by a 60 question MCQ in week 16.

As with other modules in the oncology pathway the design of learning materials will be guided by the cited module outcomes. These materials will place emphasis on the translation of the basic cancer science aspects of pathology into the clinical setting, allowing student to critically appraise the appropriate pathological information in relation to the clinical situation.
There is a formative assessment at the end of each topic - this comprises 10 MCQ's and feedback will be given.
