Modules for Clinical Research (Leadership) MClinRes; PGDip; PGCert

In addition to the programme description, the information below details the modules you can expect to study as part of this postgraduate degree. Please be aware that programme modules do change and therefore may differ for your year of entry.

PGCert modules

• MCR8001 (attendance) OR MCR8009 (e-learning) Research Governance & Ethics
• MCR8002 (attendance) OR MCR8010 (e-learning) Research Study Design & Data Interpretation
• MCR8003 (attendance) OR MCR8011 (e-learning) Writing in a Research Setting

Students completing and passing the Certificate level may continue study to Diploma level in year 2.

PGDip modules

Students on the PG Diploma Clinical Research pathway will be required to study the following modules:

• MCR8006 Designing a Research Proposal (attendance) (20 credits)
• MCR8017 Developing Yourself as a Leader (attendance) (20 credits)
• MCR8027 Strategic Leadership in the NHS (attendance) (20 credits)

Note: Modules on the PG Diploma Clinical Research (Leadership) must all be studied via attendance. Students may only substitute modules or swap modes with the permission of the Degree Programme Director and doing so may affect the title of the award you receive.

Students completing and passing the Diploma level may continue their studies to Master level in year 3.

Students on the Master Clinical Research will study the following module:
