Biomedical
and biomolecular sciences cover the range of biology topics that relate to medicine,
and include the study of key subjects such as biochemistry, genetics, physiology,
microbiology and immunology, and pharmacology.
With recent advances in these subjects, the biomedical and biomolecular sciences are an exciting and fast-moving area of science. Newcastle University is a designated Centre of Excellence for biomedical research.
