Our International Marketing MSc will give you a thorough understanding of marketing theories. You will learn how to apply these to real world business challenges.

This course is for those who want to study a postgraduate qualification with a commercial focus. It consists solely of marketing orientated modules.

Chartered Institute of Marketing
This course is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), one of the world's leading international bodies for marketing and business development.
Successful graduates can undertake further study for a CIM qualification at the highest possible entry level, namely the Chartered Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing.
This course does not provide a CIM qualification or membership, this is dependent on relevant work experience.
Market Research Society
Our course is only one of six in the UK to achieve Market Research Society (MRS) accreditation. The accreditation offers a route to certified member status of the MRS without any further exams subject to work experience.

You will be able to develop your career in marketing roles on the agency and in-house sides. You will also be able to enter graduate roles at blue chip companies.

- 6 week Pre-sessional entry: IELTS 6.0 overall (with 6.0 in writing and a minimum of 5.5 in all other sub-skills)
- 10 week Pre-sessional entry: IELTS 6.0 overall (with 1 sub-skill at a minimum of 5.0 and 3 sub-skills at a minimum of 5.5, including writing)

How to Apply
The course starts in September. There is no application closing date for this course.
We suggest international students apply at least two months before the course starts. This is so that you have enough time to make the necessary arrangements.
If you live outside the UK/EU you must:
- pay a deposit of £1,500
- or submit an official letter of sponsorship
The deposit is payable after you receive an offer to study at Newcastle University. The deposit is non-refundable, but is deducted from your tuition fees when you register.
The programme has taught me how to handle marketing problems in real life situations. Prior to starting my Masters, I had a theoretical understanding but this programme really challenged me to put my knowledge into practice. Aside from the academic content, there were great opportunities to network with colleagues and build professional relationships.
This programme has so far equipped me with a set of new skills that are vital in today’s competitive business world. It's definitely helping me build a strong foundation that will help me stand out from other candidates when applying for jobs. I've learned so much from my courses through case studies and group projects, as well as Careers Service sessions.
I really enjoyed the attitude of the teaching staff towards students, their willingness to help and take time to explain all aspects of the module. Besides theoretical lectures, we also had practical seminars which allowed us to put all of our knowledge into practice and were a great exercise in critical thinking.
Studying marketing on this programme will really help me to fulfil my career goal as a marketer. I learned about the complexities of marketing in an international context and the programme has taught me to see the world on a bigger scale. It also taught me to improve my analysis and researching skills since it included several subjects in which students conduct their own research. I really enjoy everything about marketing and I’m glad that I had this opportunity to learn.
The programme taught me how to conduct proper academic research and analyse it effectively, which was not something I had experienced before. Additionally, it's CIM-accredited which will be recognised and appreciated by future employers. I've enhanced my network as I met many people from different backgrounds and made new friends.
There were also lots of opportunities to apply what we learned on projects or real business cases. It was a good chance to experience and develop teamwork skills, which will be an essential part of our future jobs. Compared to my undergraduate studies, I also experienced a range of different assessment methods such as written exams, essays, oral group presentations and case studies.
