Global Experience Opportunity Internships

Overview

Gain global experience over the summer to help you on your way to securing that all important graduate job.

We can offer you the opportunity to take part in Global Experience Opportunity (GEO) internships at home or abroad in a variety of locations. 

Internships are unpaid and last between four and six weeks. All internships take place during the summer vacation period.

Some of the programmes give you the chance to work with students from our partner universities:

Competition for places each year is high. To make sure you're well prepared we encourage you to visit the Careers Service. They can review your application and provide interview practice.

Global Internships

We're giving Stage Two Business School undergraduates the opportunity of a lifetime with internships abroad. If you are looking for a once in a lifetime opportunity to gain global experience that will boost your graduate job prospects, look no further.

International internships are a chance to boost your employability and develop work experience that is valued by future employers. We offer Stage Two Business School students the opportunity to take part in four-six week internships across the globe during the summer vacation period. 

We currently offer programmes in India, China, Tanzania and Rwanda, working with prestigious organisations including the Reserve Bank of India and Tata Group. Projects are varied so there really is something for everyone and while internships are unpaid, students can apply for a bursary to contribute towards the costs of working abroad.

Students embarking on a placement in 2018 are welcome to also apply for a Global Experience internship, providing they are available from the end of June and early August.

These unique opportunities also allow you to work abroad with students from some of our partner institutions:

  • Boston University Questrom School of Business (USA)
  • University of Groningen, Faculty of Economics (Netherlands)
  • Xiamen University School of Management (China)
  • Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (India)

Regional Internships

We have exclusive opportunities to work on a project right here in the North East.

Get the chance to work on a meaningful project right here in the North East working in global teams with students from Boston, Groningen and Xiamen Universities.

Regional internships are a great chance to boost your employability and develop meaningful work experience that will be greatly valued by future employers. We have a range of internships programmes, which will run for three to four weeks in the summer vacation period.

Our award winning regional internship scheme is open to all Business School students and students embarking on a placement in 2017 are welcome to also apply for a regional internship, providing they are available from the end of July - mid August.
