Collaborative Awards in Science & Engineering (CASE) studentships allows the knowledge transfer between students based in Newcastle University and any private or public sector organisation.
A student will spend between 3 and 18 months with the co-operating organisation in a workplace outside their academic environment and receive financial support from both the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and the collaborating organisation.
CASE studentship projects must provide a good platform to enhance research methodology and provide a challenging environment for the student to enhance their academic achievements.
