Conferences
Newcastle is a popular location for conferences and meetings. The Institute for Cell and Molecular Biosciences (ICaMB) has a flourishing multi-disciplinary research profile with state-of-the-art
facilities. Newcastle itself is a thriving city, with a reputation as an enjoyable
place to visit. It also has good local and national transport links and is very
close to beautiful coast and countryside.
World experts, including the Nobel Prize laureate Peter Agre will present state of the art lectures on epithelial membrane physiology with broad medical and biological relevance. The scientific programme will be complemented with oral presentations and poster sessions from young scientists. Local organisers: Dr Andreas Werner, Dr Mike Gray.

Interactions' was held at the University's new conference centre, The Beehive
(Old Library Building), on July 22-23, 2004.
- The
British Yeast Group 2004 Meeting was held at the David Shaw Lecture Theatre
with a Trade Exhibition in the Foyer and New Board Room on March 22-24, 2004
