At the recent Mol Micro Meeting in Würzburg, Germany, Professor Jeff Errington was presented with an award to celebrate his 50th publication in Molecular Microbiology. He then gave a plenary lecture entitled "L-form (cell-wall deficient) bacteria: from cell biology to the origins of life". 

“I was very pleased to receive the award from Molecular Microbiology” said Jeff “especially because of the support the journal has given to my lab and the wider microbiology academic community over the years”.  Jeff's first publication in Molecular Microbiology was in 1989, only two years after the journal was founded.
