Eligibility

BBSRC and MRC studentships are available to UK and EU nationals only.

Non-UK EU nationals must be resident in the UK for three years prior to the start of the studentship otherwise they will be eligible for fees only.

Applicants should hold, or expect to obtain, a 2:1 or First Class Honours degree in a relevant discipline.

How to apply

If you are interested in our advertised studentships and wish to make an informal enquiry, contact the supervisor or postgraduate secretary.

You can apply for up to three ICaMB studentships on one application.

To apply, use the University's postgraduate online application. When applying:

  • select 'PhD in the Faculty of Medical Science - Cell and Molecular Biosciences' as the programme of study
  • complete only mandatory fields
  • no personal statement is required but you should mention the studentship(s) for which you are applying
  • your CV and covering letter should also be attached
