Our services are available to the following groups:

Newcastle University students and graduates

  • All full-time and part-time undergraduate and postgraduate students
  • Registered graduates for up to three years following graduation

Newcastle University graduates seeking to develop a business idea may access our business start-up resources for an indefinite period following graduation.

Please note that since 1 October 2010 non Newcastle University graduates can no longer register for graduate support.

Pre-entry and INTO students

  • Enquiries from prospective students of Newcastle University will be assessed on a case-by-case basis and responded to as appropriate.
  • INTO students of Newcastle University are welcome to access information in the Careers Service and use our drop-in support service.

Newcastle University staff

  • All Newcastle University staff are eligible to use the Careers Service if they have graduated from (any) university within the last two years.
  • The university provides a dedicated service for research staff, including one-to-one careers advice. For more information see the Managing Careers section of the Research Staff Support website.

The Careers Service can only assist eligible staff seeking support for the development of business ideas if they are unrelated to the individual's area of employment. The university's Research and Enterprise Services are able to provide support to staff with business ideas related to their area of employment.
