Our services are available to the following groups:

Newcastle University students and graduates

  • All full-time and part-time undergraduate and postgraduate students
  • Registered graduates for up to three years following graduation

Newcastle University graduates seeking to develop a business idea may access our business start-up resources for an indefinite period following graduation.

Pre-entry and INTO students

  • Enquiries from prospective students of Newcastle University will be assessed on a case-by-case basis and responded to as appropriate.
  • INTO students of Newcastle University are welcome to access information in the Careers Service and use our drop-in support service.

Newcastle University staff

  • Newcastle University staff are eligible to use the Careers Service if they have graduated from (any) university within the last two years.
  • Research staff can access one-to-one careers advice and support from the Careers Service. For more information on this service, visit the Staff Development Unit website.

The Careers Service can only assist eligible staff seeking support for the development of business ideas if they are unrelated to the individual's area of employment. The university's Research and Enterprise Services are able to provide support to staff with business ideas related to their area of employment.
