Newcastle University’s Careers Service runs an on-campus jobs agency (JobsOC) offering Newcastle University students temporary work assignments across the University campus.
JobsOC offers work in a variety of work areas ranging from administration IT and data entry to hospitality, catering and cleaning. Assignments are available on a casual basis at an hourly rate of £7.07 (including holiday pay).
Most JobsOC assignments are during weekdays, with some work available on weekends and evenings too. There is also some work available during holidays, particularly during the summer.
JobsOC is a great way to build up your experience in a variety of areas of work, and as work is on a casual basis, it has the advantage of allowing you to choose assignments that fit around your studies.
