Newcastle Work Experience (NWE) is a great opportunity to enhance your employability and gain vital work experience, putting you ahead of the competition. NWE offers Newcastle University students the opportunity to undertake paid work placements in local businesses, in a subject relevant to your degree.

Semester two placements are now being advertised on Vacancies Online so take a look at the opportunities suitable for you – simply click ‘work experience’ at the top of the page and then select ‘Newcastle Work Experience’.

All NWE placements offer: 

  • Project-based experience to enhance your CV and develop your skills
  • A tax free bursary of £600 for 100 hours’ work
  • Flexible hours to fit in with your timetable
