Newcastle University swept up at the Regional Grand Final of the Blueprint Business Planning Competition, which brought together the brightest entrepreneurs from four of the North East’s universities. Blueprint is an opportunity for vibrant graduates and undergraduates to make the very best of their talents and skills regionally, with dedicated support and mentoring from local and national businesses.
Uni Car Ads fought off some tough competition and were declared winners of two categories: the Business Award, and the Creativity & Design Award. They provide a cost-effective advertising service for local businesses by placing high quality advertisements on student cars that are strategically parked on well researched, popular student walking routes.
The Fresh Shrimp Company were successful in achieving Highly Commended in the Business Award category, having identified an optimal site for the farming of king prawns in the North East of England and seeking to set the standards for aquaculture in the UK.
