Background

Andrew joined the Careers Service in January 2000 having previously worked in a graduate recruitment role for Bank of Scotland (now part of Lloyds Banking Group). He worked as a Careers Adviser and Information Team Manager before taking up his current role in the summer of 2006.

Roles and Responsibilities

His role involves leading and managing the Service Support Unit, and being a member of the Careers Service's Strategy Team. There are 20 staff in the Unit, in 5 teams including Business Engagement, Marketing and Communications, Office Services, Recruitment and Events and Web Development. The Unit is also responsible for the Destination of Leavers from HE (DLHE) data collection and dissemination process, on behalf of the University.

Qualifications

MA (Hons) Modern History with International Relations, St Andrews University.
MCIBS - Member of Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland, professional qualification.
Completed several modules of AGCAS Post Experience Certificate in CEIGHE, and holds relevant qualifications for Skills Assessors and psychometric testing.
