Gillian started working for Newcastle University in June 2001 and her team (the Curriculum Unit) joined the Careers Service in April 2006. Prior to this, upon graduation she worked as an archaeologist, and as a civil servant.
Gillian is a member of the Careers Service Curriculum Unit with responsiblity for information management for the Career Development Modules (CDM), and management of the procedures for Safeguarding, Criminal Record Bureau (CRB) disclosures, and risk assessment. Gillian is also a module leader for several Career Development Modules which involves teaching and support for students as a module tutor.
