Prior to joining the Careers Service in September 2010, Jenny was employed as a Business Coach and Mentor at Leeds Metropolitan University. She has also worked as a self employed business coach and mentor specialising in start up and third sector businesses; something she continues to do alongside her work at Newcastle University.
Jenny has also been the owner of a multi-award winning gift and jewellery boutique in Leeds.
Jenny's main responsibilities are to actively promote and embed enterprise within the university so that students and staff are fully aware of all the opportunities available to them during their time at Newcastle University. Jenny focuses on the Faculty of Medical Sciences offering these students one-to-one business ideas support alongside module teaching.
She is also responsible for developing, delivering and promoting NU Enterprise Programme - a series of free workshops covering all aspects of starting and developing a successful business.
