Background

Nick worked as a languages teacher and then as a pastoral head in secondary schools for 13 years before joining the Careers Service in 1991 as a careers adviser.

Roles and Responsibilities

He was appointed director of the Careers Service in 2003 and oversaw the merger of the Careers Service with the Enterprise Centre and the Students into Schools operation in 2006. He is overall accountable for all of many activities and services run by the Careers Service. He has also tutored on national professional development courses for careers practitioners for the past 8 years.
