Background

Salome joined Newcastle University in July 2007 as Business Start-up Manager. Prior to this Salome commenced her career in 1997 at Tyneside TEC on their graduate recruitment scheme before joining Business Link Tyne and Wear as a project manager where she was responsible for designing and managing the delivery of business support models within the sub-region and wider North East region. Salome has extensive experience in the application for and management of EU funding streams.  Salome is also a school governor for St Thomas More Academy

Roles and Responsibilities

Salome is a member of the Careers Service Curriculum Team where she is module tutor for final year Career Development module students and is also responsible for the learning from work path within these modules.

  • BA (Hons) International Business Studies with German (Northumbria University at Newcastle)
  • Post Graduate Certificate Management Studies (Northumbria University at Newcastle))
  • Get into Enterprise tutor accredited by Scottish Enterprise 
  • PRINCE2 Practitioner

  • Post Graduate Certificate in Academic Practice (Newcastle University)
