Skills and Employability hub

Over the coming year the Careers Service is committed to deepening our engagement with members of academic staff. As part of our work to deliver on that commitment we are developing two exciting projects:

  • a new Embedding Skills and Employability Roundtable series
  • Skills and Employability Hub

Coordinated and hosted by the Careers Service, the Embedding Skills and Employability Roundtables series will focus on creating an opportunities for sharing experience, knowledge, resources, ideas with colleagues from across the University. We expect to be able to provide more detailed information about this programme by late November. In the meantime to register your interest in contributing to or attending these roundtables, or to suggest themes or contributors please contact us.

As great as workshops and face-to-face conversation with colleagues can be, we know time pressure and scheduling constraints get in the way. In order to make it easier to stay in touch and stay on top of useful resources and new developments across the University we will be exploring how web-based social networking and and other communication technologies can be integrated into this site to help academic staff share knowledge and resources, easily follow current debates, and find colleagues with answers to their questions.

We welcome your input into the development of this project and invite you to share your ideas.
