Newcastle Part-time Jobs Fair

Who should attend?

If you are interested in earning some extra cash and picking up some valuable skills and experiences whilst you study, then this is the Job Fair for you! Come along and meet a range of employers offering part-time and seasonal jobs.

This Fair is open to all students from any discipline. There is no need to pre-book to attend the event.  Newcastle University students should bring their smartcard for easier and quicker access into the event.  Students from other universities will be asked to sign-in prior to entering.


Which organisations will be at the Fair?

There will be a range of employers at the Fair including promotion companies, contact centres, hospitality recruiters, fundraising companies and international internship providers. Click here to find out who will be attending and what opportunities they have to offer. Please note we are still recieving bookings so the list of companies is due to change.


How should I prepare?

  • Make sure your CV is up-to-date and remember to bring copies of it to the fair to give to interested recruiters. If you need help with your CV come along to one of our "How to write a CV for Part-time Work" workshops. You can then pop into the Careers Service (between 10am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday) to get feedback from one of our CV advisors.
  • Bring a pen and paper so that you can write down hints, tips and employers contact details on the day.
  • When the information is available, review which organisations will be attending the Fair and plan which ones you want to talk to - you could even prepare some questions to ask. A list of employers attending the event will be available in the run up to the Fair – keep checking the website for new additions.
  • Remember, first impressions are everything so think about how you’re going to present yourself; this includes eye contact and what you’re going to wear.
