Inspiring 21st Century Entrepreneurs: The Role of Universities

This one-off event will bring together four of the region's leading entrepreneurs, including a recent graduate entrepreneur, in an interactive panel discussion on the role of universities in inspiring entrepreneurship in the 21st Century. 

Whether you are a student dreaming of being the next big entrepreneur, a researcher interested in commercialising your research, a young professional considering starting your own business or somebody who is simply interested in the topic, this event promises to be a real treat for you! It will also be an exciting opportunity for practitioners and educators to come together to participate, discuss and shape a vision for the future.

The panel will share their stories about how they built their businesses, how they overcame obstacles and how they have engaged with this University to support students and graduates to start ventures of their own. Each entrepreneur will also offer their own unique insight and perspective on the role of universities in developing entrepreneurs. There will be a networking opportunity at the end of the discussion.

Registration is from 5:30pm and the panel discussion will start at 6pm. Questions from the floor will be welcomed and the event will conclude with a drinks and canapés reception giving you a chance to network with business people, practitioners, staff and students from the University.
