Things to think about...

career planning wheel

Knowing yourself is a helpful starting point. What have you learnt from your experiences? Which skills do you want to use? How do you want work to fit into your life? Developing your skills and examining your strengths and preferences can help you to understand what you want and have to offer.

Exploring your options by gathering information about different types of work and occupations, further study and training opportunities or self-employment.

Making decisions can be difficult. You may feel better prepared to make those important choices by talking to people who understand your ideas.

Moving on is taking the next step. Understanding what an employer wants from you, and knowing how to demonstrate your relevant skills and experience, will help you make successful applications.
