If you are thinking of working in the UK after your studies, we recommend you consult the Home Office's UK Border Agency (UKBA). Be sure to check regularly as government regulations are subject to continuous change.
In this section:
UKBA has produced a register of companies who have sponsor licenses (PDF: 2.06MB) in order to employ migrant workers. You can use this list to check if the company you would like to work for are able to sponsor your visa.
If an organisation is not on the list, it does not necessarily mean that you could not work for them. Read UKBA's guidance on how to sponsor a migrant worker and consider including information about sponsorship in your application. If you are the best candidate for the job, then the employer may be willing to become a registered sponsor in order to hire you.
It is important to start your job search as early as possible. Deadlines for students requiring a sponsored visa can sometimes be earlier than general deadlines.
Use Finding a graduate job for information on where to look for vacancies, what to do when meeting employers, how to apply for jobs and salary information.
