What is JobsOC?

JobsOC (Jobs On Campus) is an on-campus jobs agency offering temporary and casual work assignments in the University to current Newcastle University students.

Students can apply to become part of the JobsOC Student Temp pool to undertake a range of short term, paid assignments. These vary in duration, from one day to up to 12 weeks maximum.

How much work can I expect?

Students work varied hours, from just a few hours per week, to up to 20 hours per week in term time, and up to 37 hours per week during vacations. Work is offered on a casual basis and regular hours are not guaranteed each week.

Most assignments take place on weekdays, however, a limited number of assignments may be available on evenings and weekends.

The salary for all roles is currently £7.07 per hour.
