EAT@NEWCASTLE Event Catering is a service available on campus offering refreshments for meetings,events and celebrations.
All menus have been carefully created by our Head Chef and Hospitality Team and are designed to suit a variety of tastes, diets and budgets. Quality and value for money are at the heart of our ethos and our menus are regularly updated with new products to keep things fresh.
We are a Fairtrade University and work closely with our suppliers to provide local and seasonal produce that minimises our impact on the environment.
We work to a Healthy & Sustainable Food Policy which outlines our commitment to improving the sustainability of our catering service and supply chain, and to help influence the marketplace to encourage the development of new, more sustainable goods and services.
We use only free range eggs and egg products and have been awarded the “Good Egg Award” from Compassion in World Farming in recognition of this. In addition, The Soil Association have awarded us the Bronze Catering Mark for EAT@BISTRO and EAT@ COURTYARD for our commitment to sourcing environmentally sustainable and ethical food, championing local food producers and making healthy eating easier.
We have also been recognised by Newcastle City Council for our commitment to healthy eating with all of our units holding “The Heart of Newcastle Award”.
All EAT@NEWCASTLE outlets hold the highest hygiene ratings from the Food Standards Agency’s Food Hygiene Rating Scheme.
Our professional staff are dedicated to delivering what you want, when you want it. Our normal hours of operation are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm but we are also able to deliver out of hours and at weekends for a small additional charge.
