EAT@EVENT CATERING is an on campus service offering refreshments for meetings, events and celebrations.
All menus created by our Head Chef and Hospitality Team are designed to suit a variety of tastes, diets and budgets, providing quality and value for money.
Our menus are regularly updated with new products to keep things fresh.
Accreditation
- Newcastle University is a Fairtrade University - we work closely with our suppliers to provide local and seasonal produce that minimises our impact on the environment
- Our Healthy and Sustainable Food Policy outlines our commitment to improving the sustainability of our catering service and supply chain, and to help influence the marketplace to encourage the development of new, more sustainable goods and services
- In recognition of using only free range eggs and egg products we have been awarded the 'Good Egg Award' from Compassion in World Farming
- EAT@BISTRO and EAT@COURTYARD have been awarded the The Soil Association's Bronze Catering Mark for our commitment to sourcing environmentally sustainable and ethical food, championing local food producers and making healthy eating easier.
- We are recognised by Newcastle City Council for our commitment to healthy eating with all of our units holding 'The Heart of Newcastle Award'
- All EAT@NEWCASTLE outlets hold the highest hygiene ratings from the Food Standards Agency’s Food Hygiene Rating Scheme

Operating Hours
We work Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm but can deliver out of hours and at weekends for a small additional charge.
