Postgraduate student in laboratory

Molecular Microbiology, MRes

Staff in the Centre have devised and deliver a one year Research Masters (MRes) course in Molecular Microbiology. The course forms part of a portfolio of MRes programmes run by the Faculty of Medical Sciences Graduate School.

The MRes Molecular Microbiology course can be taken either as a stand-alone one-year programme or as the first year of a four year integrated MRes/PhD studentship outlined below.

PhD studentships

The Centre for Bacterial Cell Biology provides many opportunities for postgraduate students to train in exciting, cutting edge research with access to world class facilities. Fully-funded PhD studentships are often available through UK Research Council, EU, charity or industrial funding.

PhD Studentships in the CBCB are registered in The Institute for Cell and Molecular Biosciences which also advertises and administers available studentships.
