Research Opportunities
We welcome people to come and work with us at any time, and have opportunities at undergraduate, postgraduate, and postdoctoral level.
Undergraduates
Undergraduates can come and gain valuable research experience working alongside Centre members. We have opportunities for unpaid volunteers, as well as vacation scholars, which fund a research project during the summer breaks. This can enable you gain new skills and expertise which could make you stand out in PhD and job applications when you leave.
Postgraduate and Postdoctoral Positions
Funded postgraduate and postdoctoral positions are advertised using the normal routes, such as FindAPhD.com, the University website and jobs.ac.uk. For current vacancies, please look at our News section, where recent funding successes are reported. We also welcome enquiries and applications from self-funding students and post-doctoral researchers who are eligible for fellowship schemes.
If you are interested in pursuing one of these options, then the first thing to do is to find a relevant contact in the CBE who can support your application in your chosen area of research. Once this link has been established, they will be able to help you with your application.
