My long-term research goal is to better understand the complex adaptive systems at the cellular and behavioural levels in higher auditory functions. I am especially interested in the interactions of neuronal responses that emerge the regularities to form a pattern which feeds back into the system, and how such an emergence-feedback loop can affect our behaviour. I address this question through multiple experimental approaches (i.e., behavioural science, electrophysiology, neuroimaging, and histology).

Research interests

Complex adaptive systems with experimental techniques at the cellular and behavioural levels in auditory system: self-similarity, regularities, pattern analysis, connectivity in higher auditory functions (e.g., music and language).
