Research Interests
I am a laboratory animal veterinarian with an interest in developing objective techniques for assessing animal welfare.
Project
Refining research procedures by assessing the welfare of laboratory rodents
My project has been funded by the Universities Federation for Animal Welfare/3Rs Liaison Group and Solvay Pharmaceuticals. In this project I will develop a multi-faceted approach for non-invasively assessing the welfare of laboratory rodents in order to minimise negative impact of research procedures.
