Library

The University's multi award-winning Robinson Library carries an extensive stock of books and journals relating to all the taught programmes and the research of the School. Additionally, there are a number of study rooms which are available for booking for individual study or group work.

Robinson LibraryAll recommended student text books are held in the Undergraduate Reference Collection with multiple copies of the most popular ones. The library catalogue is fully computerised and available through all networked computers in the University and the School.

The Robinson Library is:

  • open for daytime and evening use, with extended opening hours during exam periods;
  • has seating for 2,000 people (including group study rooms);
  • has 200 networked computer workstations, with word processing, statistical and database software;
  • has over 1 million books and 5,000 periodicals, with growing numbers of electronic resources;
  • has an extensive collection of texts, periodicals, tapes and CD Roms that support the teaching of our modules.
