Chemical Engineering at Newcastle ranked 2nd in the UK by the 2010 Guardian University Guide
Chemical Engineering at Newcastle University has maintained its second place in the U.K. in the 2010 University Guide by The Guardian newspaper. For the second year running, Chemical Engineering was deemed second only to Cambridge university.
Overall the University had moved up four places to be ranked 40th in the U.K. University rankings. The University was described as having "an impressive academic track record...located in a city that inspires immense affection in locals and visitors alike".
