Over £2 million has been invested in laboratories and equipment in the last five years.
Investments ensure that the School maintains a range of state-of-the-art facilities in a number of areas.
We've invested £650,000 in teaching facilities, including:
- the Millennium Laboratory for undergraduate chemistry teaching
- the Exxon Mobil Design Suite for project work
- small teaching rooms for MSc and CPD courses
Science Research Investment Fund (SRIF) funding of over £1 million has bought responsive processing and nanocharacterisation equipment which underpins both academic research and contract work with industry.
With the support of the Centre for Process Innovation we have also established an Applied Catalysis and Solid State Electrochemistry laboratory.
The School has a rolling programme of laboratory upgrades and refurbishments which are designed to strengthen its unique capabilities and provide a high quality environment for training, research and outreach.
The School offers a flexible range of services covering research and development:
- analytical services
- consultancy expertise
- access to specialist equipment and related expertise
- collaborative research and development projects
We also provide training through our Knowledge Transfer Partnerships.
These are only some examples of the support the School can offer. Contact us to discuss your specific requirements.
