Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

Continuing Professional DevelopmentOur School has been hosting and conducting CPD Courses since the early 1980s. These courses combine the more technical and theoretical aspects of the subject areas, and are usually combined with extensive supervised hands-on practical sessions.

There are refresher courses as well as courses designed to update practising scientists and engineers with new technologies that are of immediate benefit to their business.

Course materials are drawn mainly from the course providers' research and practical experiences in the process industries, and from the feedback of previous participants. Courses can also be tailored to a particular company's needs and can be run either at the University or on the company site.

There is a suite of 16 modules offered through the IGDS which is organised on a CPD basis. The modules cover the whole spectrum of process instrumentation, control and process automation. For further information please visit the PACT website.
