Process Intensification
Production of polymers with controlled molecular weight has been demonstrated using spinning disk reactors. This represents a major advance over conventional batch operation.
A hundredfold reduction in reactor size was achieved for a saponification process by switching from batch to a continuous oscillatory baffled reactor for biodiesel production.
