Student Support

Student Support

At Newcastle we provide excellent support services for our students.

Our Student Advice Centre, Student Counselling Service and other central services are always available for you to turn to if you are looking for information, advice and help.

Personal tutor system

The University runs a Personal Tutor System for undergraduates to give you help and advice. Your tutor is is your Degree Programme Director who advises you on your academic progress and who acts as a personal link between you and the University.

Postgraduate students benefit from being assigned a Supervisor, usually a member of academic staff directly concerned with the teaching of your subject.

When you choose a University you are also choosing your home for the next few years. We have a range of accommodation available for all students. Find out more about undergraduate accommodation or postgraduate accommodation.
