Personal tutor system
The University runs a Personal Tutor System for undergraduates to give you help and advice. Your tutor is is your Degree Programme Director who advises you on your academic progress and who acts as a personal link between you and the University.
Postgraduate students benefit from being assigned a Supervisor, usually a member of academic staff directly concerned with the teaching of your subject.
When you choose a University you are also choosing your home for the next few years. We have a range of accommodation available for all students. Find out more about undergraduate accommodation or postgraduate accommodation.
At Newcastle we offer you a comprehensive support system - and it starts even before you get here. View our pre-arrival information that outlines everything you need to know about registering as a student here.
We'll give you first-class, award-winning academic facilities to support you in your studies.
We have tailored postgraduate supervision for taught and research students. This is central to the support services that we offer, as it is a link on a personal basis between you and the University.
After you graduate
When you graduate you will become part of a global community of Newcastle University graduates. We keep in touch with over 60,000 members in 136 countries through our Alumni Association.
