Celebrating 100 years of Transport Excellence (20 September 2012)

The 20th September 2012, is a momentous day for transport in the region as we will be celebrating 100 years of transport excellence - TORG (Transport Research Operations Group) at Newcastle University will be celebrating their 40th Birthday and North Eastern Branch of the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation their 60th Birthday.

We will be hosting an event to review our achievements and the challenges transport faces for the future on the afternoon of the 20th September in Newcastle University's Devonshire Building. This will include some speakers, an interactive exhibition and demonstrations.

We would also like to invite you to our Birthday meal, which will be hosted by some very special guests at Newcastle's Civic Centre from 6:30pm on the same day. To register your interest, please fill in your details above. This way we will be able to keep you up to date and you will be the first to know when it is possible to make reservations (this will be subsidised, however there will be a small charge).

For now, we only ask our alumni and former staff to hold the day and to register your interest with our eventbrite website, so we can get in touch with you and give you further information on the day in due course.

If you require further information at this stage, please contact Ms Lindsey Allan on 0191 2088120 or email: lindsey.allan@ncl.ac.uk.
