James Robinson, a 2012 graduate from MEng Civil Engineering, has just been announced as the winner of this year's Institution of Civil Engineers prize for Newcastle University.
 
The Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) Student Prize is an annual award for undergraduates who have performed the best in the last two years of their accredited civil engineering degree course in the following areas:

  • Talent in engineering design
  • Impressive coursework
  • A strong examination performance

James, now working for Arup, wins £250 and a Certificate of Merit. During his studies in Newcastle, James also won a British Dam Society competition for an expenses-paid trip to an international conference on dam engineering held in Portugal.
