RSPSoc Student Prize for CEG PhD Student
Congratulations to Dr Fanar Abed, who has been awarded the Remote Sensing and Photogrammetry Society (RSPSoc) Student Prize for Best PhD of 2012.
Fanar was a PhD student in the School, studying with Prof Jon Mills and Dr Pauline Miller, from 2008 to 2012 and was awarded the degree of PhD for her thesis "Calibration of full-waveform airborne laser scanning data for 3D object segmentation". Fanar is now a lecturer in the Surveying Engineering Department at Baghdad University in her native Iraq.
